I Believe...
If you don't want to wear a dress then don't wear a dress
You don't have to wear white on your wedding day, go ahead and embrace colour
I get just as excited about your wedding dress as you do
A Few of My Favourite Things (besides my family of course)
Disney Movie - Cinderella
Drink - a good IPA, the hoppier the better
Celebrity Wedding Dress - Grace Kelly
Fabric - Silk Mikado
My goal is to make you feel and look your absolute best on your wedding day.
Food - too many yummy things to pick but I will never turn down a good bowl of pasta
How did I get started in this business? Well on the technical side I graduated from Seneca College with a Fashion Arts diploma where I learned the skills of pattern drafting, sewing and design. From a young age I knew I wanted to work in the fashion industry though. I loved playing dress up and creating 'fashion magazines' with all my designs. I grew up working in my mom's women's wear boutique. I lovingly joke that she burnt me out of retail which is why I decided to pursue the design side of fashion. I naturally gravitated towards the wedding industry because I love making beautiful gowns (see Cinderella was my favourite movie above). When I finished school I lived in Toronto where I worked for another custom wedding dress designer where I gained invaluable hands on experience. In 2007 I moved to Kitchener to live with my husband and started making wedding dresses for friends which eventually evolved into Jennie Ross Bridal. My husband and I settled down in the Central Frederick Neighbourhood in Kitchener and are busy raising our 2 little boys.
